A captain’s chair that I found at a garage sale for just $5! This one was filthy and the seat was trashed, but I could see he would look fantastic once I cleaned him up and put a new leather seat in! He sits in my craft room now, just waiting for creative adventures!
My very first customized piece for a client – the chair that started my business! I love Mid-Century furniture, so when my client showed me this chair and its partner (a shorter version), I got really excited! When she handed me the fabric to work with, I fell in love!
I love before and after projects! I actually had three chairs like the “before” picture. Two were going to an office, and I kept the third for myself, so I actually did two “after” looks!
It’s always amazing to me how different a single chair can look with just a fabric change and some freakin’ FANTASTIC nailhead trim!
I called this chair “Goldilocks”, as it was “just right” for my petite client.
My client called this piece “The Haunted Chair”, due to the faces carved into the show wood. Once it was finished, I just called it Beautiful!
A DIY-job that needed some help several years later, I had to re-tie the coiled springs and add all new foam.
It didn’t take long for me to realize that my clients have a definite favorite when it comes to color!

I absolutely love animals, and love being able to help them in any way I can! For the last two years, I’ve created a piece for our local Animal Humane Society to use in their silent auction. I was so pleased when they “fetched” a great price!

“Evelyn” was a piece I had found early on at a thrift store, and knew was well made. In addition, it had already been reupholstered, and I knew I could learn a lot from the previous upholsterer. It was the first piece I ever sold on Chairish, and was ecstatic to learn it was going to the East coast!
