Some of My Favorite Pieces!

A captain’s chair that I found at a garage sale for just $5! This one was filthy and the seat was trashed, but I could see he would look fantastic once I cleaned him up and put a new leather seat in! He sits in my craft room now, just waiting for creative adventures!captains-chair-before-after-a-chick-a-chair-upholstery-and-furniture

My very first customized piece for a client! I love Mid-Century furniture, so when my client showed me this chair and its partner (a shorter version), I got really excited!  When she handed me the fabric to work with, I fell in love!DSC05499.1

Not everything is always upholstered here at A Chick & A Chair! Upholstery is just one part of the job – the other part is bringing vintage wood furniture back to life using new paint or stain!DSC05699.2

I love before and after projects! I actually had three chairs like the “before” picture. Two were going to an office, and I kept the third for myself, so I actually did two “after” looks!

It’s always amazing to me how different a single chair can look with just a fabric change and some freakin’ FANTASTIC nailhead trim!
